Veronika, founder of The Regal Critiques!
Hello, friends! I'm Veronika, a 21-year-old bookworm from Hungary. I'm currently on my fourth semester of university where I'm majoring in English Studies, specifically in Hungarian/English translation. My hope is to continue my studies, and acquire an MA degree as a Spanish/English translator.
You probably won't be shocked to hear that much of my free time is spent reading, with blogging following closely behind. I've been working hard on trying to find a balance between reading YA - a genre that, I think, is truly prosperous, with many diverse voices at the moment - but also trying out other age-groups and genres, as well, including non-fiction, which I've always looked at us something "frightening". (It really isn't, though!) At the moment, I'd say that my favorite genres are fantasy, historical fiction, romance, mystery-thriller and contemporary.
I'm a massive fan of movies and tv shows, but I don't spend that much time on them, to tell you the truth. My latest favorite movie was Black Panther, while my oldest favorite is probably Beauty and the Beast (not the new live action one!). As for tv shows - Dynasty is a drama that caught my attention not that long ago, while American Horror Story and How To Get Away With Murder are two shows I've been into since the very beginning. I'm also trying to work through all the seasons of Peaky Blinders, Bates Motel and Black Mirror.
I can be reached on Twitter (@VVeronika96), as well as on Goodreads or Pinterest - links on the sidebar! I absolutely adore chatting about books, and, to be honest, anything and everything else haha.
Ruzaika, co-blogger and co-owner of The Regal Critiques!
Hey there, you lovely reader! I’m Ruzaika Rifaideen, a 20-something voracious reader living in the lovely (but frequently-overlooked-in-maps) island of Sri Lanka. I’ve been labeled as a bookworm ever since I discovered Enid Blyton in fourth grade and contrary to popular belief I think it’s something cool.
Reading and listening to music are what keep me sane and it’s once in a blue moon that either of these fails to fix my mood. To Veronika’s eternal dismay, I’m not very much into TV shows- mostly because I don’t have the time it takes. That’s quite weird considering the fact that I’m currently reading for my bachelor’s degree in psychology only part-time (due to transport issues.. and extreme exhaustion). I love working hard to meet deadlines, but sadly I suck at time-management.
I’m not that into social networks though I love Tumblr and am lately quite into Pinterest. Twitter and Goodreads are pretty much part of the job description, haha. I’m no believer in horoscopes, but I do love checking out my star sign- Cancer- which I think suits my personality a lot. Talking of which, I’m an ENFP type personality in the MBTI test (You simply have to check it out, it's a highly valid psychometric test!)
That was enough of an introduction I guess. To sum it all up, I'm a dreamer by birth and drama-queen by design. Delighted to meet you!
Clare, co-blogger of The Regal Critiques!!
Hi! I'm Clare, 24 years old and living in Devon. I've been reading voraciously since I was about 3 and discovered Alice in Wonderland - my love for books only grows as I get older!
As well as my love for books I also adore movies (especially bad horror movies) and listening to music. Most of my time is spent studying for my degree in English Literature or in taking care of my brother - I am his representative and guardian. I also blog over at Dual Reads with my sister and love both blogs so much!
You can usually find me on Twitter - it's my social media home - although I occasionally venture into Instagram as well. I do believe in horoscopes (I believe in basically everything) and I am a Pisces. Which means I am indecisive and absent minded but generally a nice person which I hope describes me.
I love chatting about books on Twitter so please feel free to contact me. I'm really excited for this new chapter of my blogging and to meet all you wonderful people!
