Ten Books On My TBR I *Think* Will Be Perfect Winter Reads

Top Ten Tuesday = weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Hello, friends! My question for you today is this: Do you have that one genre - or type of book - that you love to read in certain times of the year? For example, twisty mystery or horror novels for a rainy autumn day, or, for me, something with a CERTAIN happy ending for a cold winter day.

Now, for today, I picked out ten books from my to-read pile that I think will work for winter. There are some mysteries, thrillers and horrors for those gloomy, dark days, but also some adorable-looking romances for the coldest days, as well as some winter- or Christmas-themed novels.

CHRISTMAS OR WINTER THEMED:

I'll Be Home for Christmas // Breadcrumbs

Okay, I only have two for this category, which is supposed to be the most important category, but both these seem lovely. And I quite like the light colors on the covers. (Why is it I always get back to the cover?)

SERIES I WANT TO BINGE:

Winter-break is PERFECT for binge-ing series! Okay, sure, I'll have 6 exams this semester... but I'll try to get those over with fast, and then I'll have all the more free time. Not that having to prepare for exams ever really stopped me from reading, to be honest.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think? What books are on your Winter TBR? Do you know any cool Christmas or winter themed books?

  1. I love A Wrinkle in Time!! It’s sort of confusing and a bit weird but it’s really unique and cool too! The illustrations really add to it as well. Ava Devernay is adapting a movie for it as well!

  2. Oh my. A Wrinkle in Time was my favorite book when I was a kid. Emma is a task, but you will love it. And I used to tell everyone my favorite book was Rebecca. Great list. Good luck with it. My TTT TBR Winter list

  4. Breadcrumbs has an amazing cover, I agree. And I really liked Radio silence. I hope you do too. I never did read The Young Elites... :(

  7. I read A Wrinkle in Time a long time ago. I'll have to revisit it someday. I've also read Emma and really enjoyed it. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

  8. A Wrinkle in Time is one my top childhood reads, and I am total Marie Lu trash. Love all her books. I finished the Young Elites series recently, and I still get a little emotional when I think about the ending.

  9. Rebecca is freaking amazing and perfect for autumn/winter. Emma is my favourite Austen but I don't know why I link it with Spring rather than any other season. And I need to read Angelfall, it was all over booktube a few years ago and I still haven't read it (surprise, surprise) but other books always get in the way.
I need to compile my winter TBR but I'm still not sure which books to include
