Hello sweeties! I absolutely love today's Top Ten Tuesday topic which is: 10 Songs I Wish That Were Books. TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Unfortunately, I don't have time to explain why I want this songs to be made into books, but it's all about those wonderful/fun/whatever lyrics, people, so you just have to listen to them. :D
*my picks are in no particular order*
1. Ellie Goulding - On My Mind
2. Carrie Underwood - Smoke Break
3. Carrie Underwood - Two Black Cadillacs
4. Olly Murs feat Demi Lovato - Up
5. Ellie Goulding - Goodness Gracious
6. Halestorm - I Miss the Misery
7. Little Mix feat Jason Derulo - Secret Love Song
8. Ella Eyre - Comeback
9. Carly Rae Jepsen - Boy Problems
10. The Weeknd - In the Night
+1 Taylor Swift - Blank Space
What song you want to be books?
Do you listen to any of these artists? If so, what are your favorite songs by them?
Don't forget to leave a link to your TTTs in the comments! :)
I confess I don't know these songs but my daughter is a big Ellie Goulding fan so I should have a listen.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan, too, so I definitely recommend to give her a chance. :D
DeleteI love the choices! Especially the Carrie Underwood (my sister just was like 'eww Carrie Underwood' and I'm like...NOOOO! rofl).
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge Carrie Underwood fan myself, but some of her songs are plainly AMAZING. :D
DeleteGreat choices! :-) I think Ellie Goulding's songs would be great as a book!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteThese are such good choices!! Darn, I should have thought to include On My Mind - I think that would make a brilliant book. My sister is a huge Carrie Underwood fan, but I must admit my knowledge of her songs doesn't really stretch beyond "Before He Cheats" :o *shakes head*
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to my TTT if you have a spare minute to check it out :) My music taste is so sloppy, gah!

Thanks! :) Aw that's ok, I honestly don't know more than 10 songs by her either - Before He Cheats would make a freaking awesome song, too. Can't believe I haven't thought of it!
DeleteI love your choices! Especially On My Mind and Two Black Cadillacs! Two Black Cadillacs would be an epic book. I like Up too - my mum is a huge Olly Murs fan. I haven't heard of the others though, but I'll be sure to check them out.

Thanks, Lauren! :) I really like Olly Murs, too - not a favorite, but I make sure to check out his new songs and see if I like them. :)
DeleteI LOVE LITTLE MIX!! I think they're such a cool twist on the typical girl band and their new album brings quite an 80's vibe. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteMe too! And awww their new album is just pure gold! So many awesome songs - Secret Love Song, Love Me Like You, Grown... and I could go on!
DeleteOh man, I love Little Mix! Secret Love Song would make a great book. And Olly <3 Great choices! My TTT

ReplyDeletemy TTT
Thanks! :)
DeleteAny Olly Murs song would do (how fun would "What a Buzz" be?); same goes for The Weeknd, especially his latest album!
ReplyDeleteAgree! That song would be such a wonderful book! And yeah, Beaty Behind the Madness is full of great songs!
DeleteI almost put Secret Love Song on my TTT! But it reminded me of Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, so I didn't. We've both got Ellie Gouling, though.

Ooh, I haven't thought about it, but Secret Love Song does remind me of Simon now that I think about it. :D
DeleteEllie Goulding! Yesss. Carrie Underwood songs have good story abilities. I haven't heard the Olly Murrs/Demi song, I need to listen to it. I wish I'd put Demi on my list this week, sigh, oh well. :)
ReplyDeleteI adore Secret Love Song by Little Mix, both parts. I forgot to add that one. Little Mix is seriously so great.
Whoa, you are seriously one of my favorite people now for having Carly on your list, especially Boy Problems!!!
My favorite songs by Carly are Making The Most of The Night, Let's Get Lost, Boy Problems, I Didn't Just Come Here To Dance and Your Type, but they're all so, so good! I want her entail Emotion album made in book form, please!
I think the song The Night We Said Yes by Lauren Gibaldi really showcases that song a lot. Actually, the entire album fits The Night We Said Yes super well in my opinion! I recommend that book if you haven't read it . :)
I'm a big (huge) Carly fan.

Here is my TTT
Aww I LOVE Ellie - she's one of my FAVORITES. Carrie Underwood's songs really do tell great stories, I could have listed basically all the songs I know by her.
DeleteLM is keeps getting better - can't wait to see yet more of them. :D
YAY, ANOTHER CARLY FAN!! Her latest album is seriously perfect - I can't believe it didn't get a Grammy nom. What a disappointment. Besides the ones you listed I also adore Warm Blood and LA Hallucinations.
I haven't yet read that book yet, but I'm planning on it and you totally just pushed it to my priorities shelf just now. :))
2 Black Cadillac's would make for a great book or movie! Great list you've come up with.
ReplyDeleteI approached this topic for TTT a bit differently.. here is my list if you want to check it out:
