Hello everyone! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and today's topic is the Top Ten Authors Duos I'd Love To See Write A Book Together. I really enjoy reading all these authors' works as individuals, but I think in the following pairings they could create something unforgettable.
In no particular order.
Jeaniene Frost author of Halfway to the Grave
&
Karen Marie Moning author of Darkfever
Holly Black author of The Darkest Part of the Forest
&
Laini Taylor author of Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Libba Bray author of A Great and Terrible Beauty
&
Maggie Stiefvater author of The Raven Boys
Ann Aguirre author of I Want It That Way
&
Jennifer L. Armentrout author of Wait for You
(NA Romance collaboration)
James Dashner author of The Maze Runner
&
Suzanne Collins author of Hunger Games
Leah Thomas author of Because You'll Never Meet Me
&
Nicola Yoon author of Everything, Everything
Kasie West author of The Fill-In Boyfriend
&
Stephanie Perkins author of Anna and the French Kiss
Rosamund Hodge author of Cruel Beauty
&
Marissa Meyer author of Cinder
Jessica Sorensen author of The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden
&
A. Meredith Walters author of Find You in the Dark
Abigail Haas author of Dangerous Girls
&
Gillian Flynn author of Gone Girl
I had tons of fun thinking of authors who kinda-sorta have the same writing style and who'd make a kickass duo, and I'd love to see your list of dream author duos. Share with me your TTTs and tell me what you think about my pairings. :)

I always tell fans of Gone Girl to read Dangerous Girls. Good call on pairing them together!
ReplyDeleteDangerous Girls is way too underrated! Thanks. :)
DeleteOh! Great pairings! I love the idea of Libba Bray and Maggie S. and Lani Taylor and Holly Black! I've been really into creepy or paranormal elements in books lately, and those authors would be sure to offer that!
ReplyDeleteMallory @ The Local Muse
Thanks! :)
DeleteHey, I have a Collins/Dashner team, too. I like your idea of Bray/Stiefvater, too.

Yay, glad we have one in common. Thanks! :)

Me too, they miiiiight be able to create an actually original dystopian novel.
DeleteGreat list! I think Maggie Stiefvater and Libba Bray would make a very interesting partnership. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Definitely. :)
DeleteLove the combo of Jennifer Armentrout and Ann Aguirre! I really enjoyed Ann's NA trilogy and JLA is just *fantatsic* so it would be great to see what they came up with together.
ReplyDeleteTanya @ Girl Plus Books
I loved Ann's NA trilogy to pieces and actually think that it resembles to JLA's NA Contemporary, so they could totally write something awesome together!
DeleteOh my god Hodge and Meyer would be AMAZING! I love their work, this would be a beautiful book baby. I would get it in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT http://wp.me/p3ftwe-KB
Me too. They both create unique retellings, even if they are totally different. :)
DeleteOoh, Abigail Haas and Gillian Flynn would write an awesome book together, it would be totally mind blowing!

ReplyDeleteCheck out our TTT list!
Leydy @ OUaT
Thanks! :)
DeleteLaini Taylor and Holly Black would write some seriously great fantasy - I would definitely read anything they wrote together. And I'm not sure I'd be able to handle the action/suspense of a Suzanne Collins and James Dashner collab. Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
Me too, they write the most unique fantasies so it'd definitely be unforgettable. Same goes for Collins and Dashner, though I agree, their book might just be too much. Thanks!
DeleteFunny how I've read a few of them but never the one you paired them with LOL (did that make any sense? I hope so...) so I really don't know how your choices would work or not for me hahaha and if I ever had to pair two authors I would love to see George Martin and Brandon Sanderson :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, that makes perfect sense. I haven't read anything by either of these authors but my friend loved Brandon Sanderson, so I'll recommend George Martin to her. :)
DeleteI would honestly read anything Libba Bray and Maggie Stiefvater collaborated on. I can only imagine how amazing and intense a magical system in a book they'd write together would be. I didn't even know how much I needed this until now. What have you done? :P
ReplyDeleteMy list
Same here, I honestly think that mixing their writing style would create something truly magical. Oops, sorry not sorry. :P
DeleteI could hardly believe it when I saw Rosamund Hodge and Marissa Meyer together on your list, Veronika - because I paired them up on my list, too! I really think they'd be totally awesome together. Or, rather, more awesome. Besides them, I've read hardly any of these authors but there some here that I totally need to read. Especially Libba Bray and Maggie Stiefvater.
ReplyDeleteThey'd be the PERFECT pairing, especially for those of us who love retellings. I honestly can't wait for you to pick up something by Bray and Stiefvater! They're between my favorite authors and I think you'll love them.
DeleteOh I really love some of these! Rosamund Hodge and Marissa Meyer would be great as would Holly Black and Laini Taylor!
ReplyDeleteGreat list
Happy Reading
