Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2015

TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Hello sweeties! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2015. This is going to be real hard for me because I could name half the books I've read so far as favorites. I mean, some of my 4-star or even 3-star rated novels could go to my favorite shelf for one reason or another. What was even harder than reducing my list to ten was putting them in order but I'm ready and I hope you'll enjoy this list. :)

Rebecca Phillips - Faking Perfect

"Sometimes you get an image of someone stuck in your head and then you can't let go of it, even after they show you they've changed. All you can see is that one side of them."

“Edgy and honest, Faking Perfect is the real thing.” –Huntley Fitzpatrick

When Lexi Shaw seduced Oakfield High's resident bad boy Tyler Flynn at the beginning of senior year, he seemed perfectly okay with her rules:

1. Avoid her at school.
2. Keep his mouth shut about what they do together.
3. Never tease her about her friend (and unrequited crush) Ben.

Because with his integrity and values and golden boy looks, Ben can never find out about what she’s been doing behind closed doors with Tyler. Or that her mom’s too busy drinking and chasing losers to pay the bills. Or that Lexi’s dad hasn’t been a part of her life for the last thirteen years. But with Tyler suddenly breaking the rules, Ben asking her out, and her dad back in the picture, how long will she be able to go on faking perfect?

Trish Doller - The Devil You Know

"Promises are easy to believe in the middle of the night when it's dark and it's just us."

Eighteen-year-old Arcadia wants adventure. Living in a tiny Florida town with her dad and four-year-old brother, Cadie spends most of her time working, going to school, and taking care of her family. So when she meets two handsome cousins at a campfire party, she finally has a chance for fun. They invite her and friend to join them on a road trip, and it's just the risk she's been craving-the opportunity to escape. But what starts out as a fun, sexy journey quickly becomes dangerous when she discovers that one of them is not at all who he claims to be. One of them has deadly intentions.

A road trip fling turns terrifying in this
contemporary story that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.

My Ten Favorite Top Ten Topics From The Past 5 Years

TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Hello sweeties. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: My Ten Favorite Top Ten Topics From The Past 5 Years. I've been incredibly excited to do this particular topic for weeks so cheers to it finally being here! I ended up listing 5 lists that I've done, and 5 that I haven't. In the end I added the book/character etc. that would be #1 on my list or that had been #1 on my list. Also, I've linked in the lists I've done before.

Claudia Carroll - If This is Paradise, I Want My Money Back

"Girls are like tea, you don't know how strong they are until they get into hot water."

Charlotte Grey is hovering between life and death, but the weird thing is, it's taken a coma for her to finally open her eyes and see things clearly. Namely that she's made a complete mess of her short time on Earth, and don't even get her started on the five precious dating years she's just wasted on the worthless, faithless James Kane.
But after a quick peek at the afterlife, she decides that it's not all it's cracked up to be either. Kind of like a big retirement home in the sky, with an awful lot of bingo and bridge and absolutely no sign of Elvis/Princess Di/Kurt Cobain or anyone it would actually be nice to spend eternity with. So when Charlotte is offered a chance to go back to Earth, this time as a bonafide angel, she jumps at it.

But there's a catch. The person she's assigned to watch over is . . . a certain James Kane. Which is where the fun really starts. Well, just because she's passed on doesn't necessarily mean she's moved on, does it?

Top Ten Books On My TBR For Summer 2015

TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Hey lovelies. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is the Top Ten Books On My TBR For Summer 2015. If you know me even a tiny bit you might know that I'm a mood reader. It's rare when I can finish a list of books in a given time period, even if we're talking about the whole summer. Anyways, I'm still going to list ten books. Ones that I'm pretty sure I'll actually get around reading. Root for me, please.

Ann Aguirre - The Shape of My Heart (2B Trilogy #3)

"You're the only person in the whole world who knows exactly who I am."

Some people wait decades to meet their soul mate. Courtney Kaufman suspects she met hers in high school only to lose him at seventeen. Since then, Courtney's social life has been a series of meaningless encounters, though she's made a few close friends along the way. Especially her roommate Max Cooper, who oozes damaged bad-boy vibes from every pore.

Max knows about feeling lost and trying to move beyond the pain he's been on his own since he was sixteen. Now it's time to find out if he can ever go home again, and Courtney's the only one he trusts to go with him. But the trip to Providence could change everything because the more time he spends with Courtney, the harder it is to reconcile what he wants and what he thinks he deserves.

It started out so simple. One misfit helping another. Now Max will do anything to show Courtney that for every heart that's ever been broken, there's another that can make it complete.

Sarah Mussi - Bomb

My head's ringing. And I'm cold, lying here on my back. And stiff. I can't seem to sit up. And something's dripping, like I'm in a cavern. There's a sour taste in my mouth.
I raise my head and open my eyes. A blinding flash slices, like white fire, through the edge of my vision.
Where am I?
'Hello? Anyone there?'

When Genesis goes on a blind internet date, she just wants to get over her ex-boyfriend Naz. Just wants someone to like her again. But when Genesis wakes up the morning after the date, she can't remember a thing. She doesn't know where she is, or how she got there. And she can hardly move because she is strapped into some kind of body armour ... and there's some sort of earpiece stuck in her ear.

And then a voice sounds in her head: 'You have been chosen for an assignment ... The vest you're wearing is packed with high explosives. And with one mobile call we can detonate it.'

To her horror, Genesis has become an agent of mass destruction. The countdown to detonation begins NOW...

TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Hello sweeties. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is the Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For the Rest of 2015. I'm really looking forward to making this list and reading yours, you know I'm always on the look out for new books to add to my TBR. Like I don't have more than enough on it already.

Holly Black - The Darkest Part of the Forest

“Once, there was a girl who vowed she would save everyone in the world, but forgot herself.”

Children can have a cruel, absolute sense of justice. Children can kill a monster and feel quite proud of themselves. A girl can look at her brother and believe they’re destined to be a knight and a bard who battle evil. She can believe she’s found the thing she’s been made for.

Hazel lives with her brother, Ben, in the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae exist side by side. The faeries’ seemingly harmless magic attracts tourists, but Hazel knows how dangerous they can be, and she knows how to stop them. Or she did, once.

At the center of it all, there is a glass coffin in the woods. It rests right on the ground and in it sleeps a boy with horns on his head and ears as pointed as knives. Hazel and Ben were both in love with him as children. The boy has slept there for generations, never waking.

Until one day, he does…

As the world turns upside down, Hazel tries to remember her years pretending to be a knight. But swept up in new love, shifting loyalties, and the fresh sting of betrayal, will it be enough?

Top Ten Books I'd Love To See As Movies/Tv Shows

TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Hello sweeties. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Top Ten Books I'd Love To See As Movies/Tv Shows. I'll list five books that I want to be made into movies, and five that I want to be made into tv shows. You might not know this but I'd much rather watch a movie adaptation than a tv show one, but there are some series that I can't imagine made into movies.
