Our Favorite Novels We're So Ready To Revisit

Hello friends! Tuesday means two things for me, (1) we're one day closer to the weekend, and (2) it's time for Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl)! Now, Clare and I were struggling a teeny tiny bit with today's topic - smh, we are so bad at this 'following the weekly theme' thing - so we switched it up a little and so, instead of books we loved but don't want to reread, we'll be writing about books we're so ready to revisit. I SWEAR WE'LL GET BETTER AT THIS THING. Anyhow, without further ado, let's jump right into our lists:

10-10 books we loved, and cannot wait to reread.

VERONIKA

The Diviners, The Lunar Chronicles, The Raven Cycle for the amazing friendships slash dynamics between the characters. (Note: yes, the latter two are my problematic faves.)

Dangerous Girls, Gone Girl, Yesternight, The Cruel Prince for the twisted, complex characters whose brains it's intriguing to be in.

Cruel Beauty, I'll Meet You There, These Broken Stars for the romance slash #otps.

CLARE

Dating Sarah Cooper The Princess Bride Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1)
Dating Sarah Cooper, The Princess Bride, Six of Crows my forever faves that I will re-read over and over again!

The Smoke Hunter The Extinction Trials (The Extinction Trials, #1) The Last Magician (The Last Magician, #1) The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue (Guide, #1)
The Smoke Hunter, The Extinction Trials, The Last Magician, The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue for the settings I could live in and the character dynamics I want to be a part of!!

Wondrous Strange (Wondrous Strange, #1) A Great and Terrible Beauty (Gemma Doyle, #1) Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1)

Wondrous Strange, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Soulless these are series that I love but haven't re-read in absolutely ages so I'm desperate to revisit them!

  1. I was actually going to re read The Raven Boys the other day but didn’t get around to it! I was super obsessed with it a few years ago and just wanted to get nostalgic lol. I haven’t read The Princess Bride yet but the movie is in my top three faves of all time so it really is a must read for me!

    1. The Princess Bride is an incredible movie, and weirdly one of those cases where watching the movie first then reading the book actually works better! Hope you get to read it soon!

  4. I am not a re-reader, but there are so fabulous books up there - Dangerous Girls, SoC, The Parasol Protectorate Series, The Starbound Series, The Raven Cycle Series -- all faves. I still need to read I'll Meet You There. Definitely trying to make it a priority this year.

    1. I could probably do with less re-reading, it so often is just an excuse to let my TBR carry on as it is! I'll Meet You There was a great book, I read it when it came out and loved it and definitely need to add it to the re-read pile!

  5. I really have to get my hands on The Extinction Trials. If I could have gotten it for my Kindle, I would already own it. However, I keep putting off getting a physical copy for some reason!

  6. LOL, I love how you always add a twist to these TTT - rebels are my jam! 😉

As Vera already knows, I'm one of the strongest advocates for rereads. And no, not only because my book budget is limited and I'm extremely picky when it comes to buy my books. I do think that a novel is born to be loved over time, savoured over and over again, rediscovered along the way. I'm pretty democratic with my rereads - 5, 4 or 3 stars, it doesn't matter when I set my mind on rereading. I don't think I have a fave I've reread more than any other book, but I love to revisit my fictional worlds, and I feel sorry for all those books that get read only once...

    1. I re-read waaay too much! And I'm the same, there can be a book that I rated fairly low but I'll still re-read it over and over because there's just something addictive about it! Plus you always find something new to love in every re-read!

  7. The Princess Bride is one of my all-time favorite movies! My 16-year-old is reading it in English class right now and LOVING it. I need to break out my copy and finally read this, I think.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

  9. I very rarely reread. There are just too many other books I want to read and I’ll never get to them if I spend my time rereading. But there are very rare exceptions. I’ve reread Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. And I know at some point I’ll reread I’ll Meet You There. That one was just too good not to revisit at some point.

    1. Not re-reading so often would definitely be good for my TBR but I just can't help myself sometimes! Simon vs is a definite re-read over and over for me!
