    1. Hahaha, thanks so much for the encouragement lol. I'm going into both these books with fear, Lolita because of the subject matter and GSaW, bc what I heard about it sounded horrible. :(

  8. Yay, finally a list with some thrillers and horror novels! :D

THE MADMAN'S DAUGHTER is on my wishlist and so is YOU, I hope I can find the time to read them some day :D

I REALLY enjoyed LAIR OF DREAMS, so I hope it can live up to your expectations as well!

I'm also curious about MY SISTER ROSA because the blurb sounds really interesting and sick!

  10. I have had a bad run with thrillers of late (they've not been very thrilling) so thanks for The Madman's Daughter reminder - I seem to recall people were raving about it.

    1. Ugh, I hate when that happens - it kinda makes you wary of the whole genre. Hopefully TMD will be thrilling. :D

  14. So many awesome books! Someone in my book club actually recommended Lolita and Speak but I still haven't gotten around to them yet. I'm thinking those will be in October or November! They also recommended The Bluest Eye which is in the general vicinity of the other two. I'm going to have to throw in some contemporaries to lighten it up a little! Happy reading!

  17. Ohh The Female of hte Species is on my TBR too!! *flails* I need to get to that. AND OMG MY SISTER ROSA IS SO SO CHILLING AND SO SO GOOD. And entirely underrated. I just want to hug that book !!...and also back away slowly from it because it's kind of terrifying. XD Ahem. Good luck with these marvellous TBR! And for the next few months I'm planning on really trying to tackle some of the books I own instead of constantly dissolving into the library hehh. I can't wait to read Nevernight and Holding Up the Universe and The Serpent King!

Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

    1. Mindy McGinnis is SO AWESOME, I'm sure The Female of the Species will be pure gold. Ahh I can't wait to read My Sister Rosa - I love to read about psychopaths and the likes and so this is PERFECT for me - which says sg about my personality, but WHATEVER lol. Thanks! I'm planning on reading Nevernight too - I read it's one of those books where the reader shouldn't get too close to the characters, bc NO ONE is safe.

  18. I didn't like You that much. It lost its creep factor too fast for my liking and I found I was just bored. I love Angelfall, but for some reason I haven't finished the series. I don't even know why. The Female of the Species sounds like an interesting book. I'd love to know what you think about it.
