Hello sweeties. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and as you can see, today's topic is all about the past and the future. I chose to make two smaller lists today, because I don't read THAT many books in these genres, and I didn't want to share with you anything, but the absolute best. 1. Oh that's fun that you did half historical and half futuristic :-) I have These Broken Stars on my TBR since I found it at the library and am going to try and read it this year!

  3. I also thought about doing half and half, but historical won out, since I live and breathe that genre. I've heard of many of the books on your list, but I haven't read any of them except To Kill a Mockingbird.

    1. Unfortunately, I don't read that much historical and futuristic books, thus the half and half list. But I'll surely go and check out your list for recs. :)

  4. Nice list! I love TKAM, ALL THE TRUTH THAT'S IN ME, and The Lunar Chronicles series. They're all such great books -- very atmospheric and memorable.

    Happy TTT!

    1. Thanks. Agree - beautiful books, though ATTTiM would deserve a bit more recognition in my opinion.

    1. You REALLY do! TLC is one of the best series, even if Winter left some things to be desired.

  6. I love the Starbound trilogy!! I like that you did both past and present heh I had no idea ALL THE TRUTH THAT'S IN ME is historical! SHADOW OF THE WIND sounds like a good book

    1. Thanks! That's kinda funny because I had no idea either when I picked it up - tbh, there's a chance I wouldn't have read it, if I'd known about it. IT IS!! So beautifully tragic, but not all sad! :)

  8. I love that you did 5 of each! To KIll a Mockingbird was one of my favorite required reads from high school. I really want to reread it sometime and see what I think of it now as an adult.

  10. I heard good things about All My Yesterdays and time travel is a favorite of mine (depending on the story) so I should read that one. I remember when it came out but somehow it slipped off my radar. Great list!

    1. You really should give it a chance - it is, probably, the best time-travel novel I've read. Thanks!

  11. The Lunar Chronicles of course!!!!!!!!!! I, sadly, didn't enjoy The Darkest Minds. I just couldn't connect with either the story or the characters. I wasn't for me.
This list also reminds me that I still need to read The Shadow of the Wind. Outrageous that I haven't done so yet :S
