  1. There are so many authors I've read from this list, Richelle Mead, Maggie Stiefvater and Marissa Meyer being my favourites. And although all those authors restored fantasy, paranormal, etc for you I have to say that both Stiefvater and Meyer have given me hope for YA (in some cases), a hope I was starting to lose this year :)

    1. Yay, I'm so glad we have quite a few common favorites. Glad they did that because it'd be such a shame if you gave up on YA completely - there are still SO MANY remarkable authors/stories out there!

  2. I'm currently reading The Lunar Chronicles and might I say, these are some of the best books I've read! I've yet to read some of these books, but I know for a fact that I'll be getting around to them soon. Great list! Happy Thanksgiving :) Here's my Top Ten!

    1. Yay, so glad you're enjoying TLC - it is definitely one of the best series I've ever read, and that's something I rarely say. Hope you'll enjoy them! Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

  3. This is a great list! I haven't read a whole lot on this list, but a lot of it is on my TBR. I'm so happy to see lots of Richelle Mead. She is absolutely fantastic! And this post reminded me how much I need to finish the Lunar Chronicles. I read an ARC of Cinder and loved it, so I'm not quite sure why I haven't gotten around to any of the other books in the series.

Great list! Thanks for stopping by The Left-Handed Book Lover!

    1. Thank you! I absolutely ADORE Mead's novels - she's such a remarkable author. Ooh, I'd definitely recommend you to continue TLC. This is one of those series that gets better and better with each book, so I'm quite sure you won't be disappointed if you enjoyed Cinder. :)

  5. You just listed my favorite genres! Lol. But believe it or not, the only books I've read from this list are The Selection series, though many of the others are on my TBR. Don't think I've heard of the Curser Workers though. I'll have to look them up because the covers look so interesting!

  10. Great list!! I'm so thankful for VA and Richelle Mead who helped me laugh and cry during the tough transition to freshmen year of high school. So much stress and overwhelming work, but VA helped me through it. TLC showed me not to judge books by their covers, and that I should TRY a book before judging it. Now I love retellings! Great list, dear <3

    1. I have a lot to thank to Richelle Mead and VA, too - they cheered me up in the complicated procedure of applying to high schools. SAME about TLC - I really wasn't interested in those books based on the covers but the hype sort of pulled me in. Thanks, Rachel! <3

  11. This was a great list! I have read some of these book series, but my never ending TBR list has kept me from reading others. Every time I see a book/series that I have not read yet, it always motivates me to read them. Great list! :)

  14. I honestly wasn't a fan of the Winner's Curse, so I probably won't be picking up the second or third book. I did love Vampire Academy a lot, and the Lunar Chronicles! Am planning to pick up the Raven Cycle's books soon, but I have so many other books I still need to read hahahah!

    1. Ohh, than I'm not sure the second book is for you AT ALL - for me it was kind of a disappointment (though some enjoyed it more than the first). Yay, soo glad you love these series! Ooh, do that! Those books are AWESOME!!

This list just made me want to read them even more, because I've heard such good things about them. I need to put all of these on my christmaslist this year! Have a great day!

  17. Ooh, the books I've read here I've really enjoyed! (Vampire Academy, These Broken Stars, The Lunar Chronicles, Cruel Beauty and Daughter of Smoke & Bone.) Leaves me very excited to read a few more of these that I've been interested in, especially The Selection and The Winner's Curse. Love your topic choice for this week, Veronika, as fantasy is my favorite genre.

    1. I'm so glad we have so many common favorites! All the books you listed are so unique and wonderful! I can't imagine how dark our life would be without books! :D

  19. I love Daughter of Smoke and Bone! I have read Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stievater, but haven't read the Raven Cycle yet. And I had read Cinder and really enjoyed it. They do restore my faith in YA Genre in general, they prove that YA still could provide new ideas and twist instead of recycling a famous series into other series! :D

    1. I agree, these novels definitely restored my faith in YA as well. You should definitely read Raven Cycle - it is nothing like other YA novels!
