Hello sweeties. It's the first day of August which means it's time for our monthly Release Calendar. This month Ruzaika and I are awaiting 29 books in total. Don't forget to link in  your monthly release post - if you have one - in the comment section. Or share with us in the comments what books you're eagerly waiting for. You know we're always on the lookout for new books, no matter how huge our TBR lists are.

  1. Those are so many releases!!! and the only ones I know about are Lair of Dreams and The Rest of Us Just Live Here and to be honest, I'm only interested in the latter. I read The Diviners but it was a huge letdown... I went into the book thinking I will give it 5 stars, but it was 3.5 and yes, 3.5 is good, 3.5 is I liked it but I was so disappointed so I don't know if I wanna continue (and the cover change doesn't motivate me either :S). And I love Patrick Ness so this new release from him needs to come home with me LOL

    1. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy The Diviners as much as you wanted to. I rated it five stars so obviously, I LOVED IT. I've only read A Monster Calls but at this point I'd buy basically anything by Patrick Ness, especially standalones haha.

  2. My most anticipated read on this list has to be Reawakened by Colleen Houck - she's one of my favorite authors! I've also heard great things about The Rest of Us Just Live Here, Mechanica, and Court of Fives; I can't wait to read those as well. Great post <3

    1. I've only read Tiger's Curse by her but I ended up giving up on the series because of the love triangle, even though I rated the first book 5 stars. Anyways, I can't wait for Reawakened because I loved her writing! Thanks! <3

  3. These release calendars are always so helpful! I usually don't take care to track the dates and Goodreads lists are long and don't show release date initially by the thumbnail. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to make these!

On a different note, Slasher Girls and Monster Boys sounds interesting. I didn't know it was a short story collection until now, but I am a huge fan of Nova Ren Suma ever since The Walls Around Us, so once I saw her name, I was sold. The Rest of Us Just Live Here sounds cool, too, because the focus of stories is usually on the hero/heroine with amazing save-the-day abilities. We rarely get to see things from a bystander's perspective, so I'm definitely intrigued.

    1. I'm glad they turn out to be helpful for a lot of people. Personally, I love making these because I can see what books I'm especially interested in and make a list of books that I want to read/buy first. It usually doesn't work out that way in the end but whatever haha.

I didn't know it was a short story collection up until making this list either. I can't wait to read The Walls Around Us so I'm really glad you enjoyed it. The Rest of Us Just Live Here sounds very special and unique, like Patrick Ness books in general. Can't wait to read it! :)

  4. I'm definitely interested in Mechanica. I've only got four books on my list this month, but I do kind of feel like I forgot some. Court of Fives is one I probably should have had on there, too. Going to go see what Dead Upon A Time is, though. I haven't even read any of Libba Bray's books yet, but I know I need to.

If you want to check my list out, it's here.

    1. Mechanica sounds so good! Dead Upon A Time sounds so much fun, but the ratings are a bit meh so I'm not so sure about it. Libba Bray is awesome! Her Gemma Doyle trilogy is so different and creative and just amazing! And The Diviners was a great read as well. :)
