  1. I loved Maggie Steivater's Shiver series! It was basically the only werewolf series I could find that wasn't cheesy. I really need to read The Princess Diaries soon! I've seen the movies like 1000 times, so I really don't know why I haven't gotten to them yet.

    1. I get what you're saying. I kinda hated all werewolves novels but Shiver was an exception. You definitely have to read The Princess Diaries then! I saw the movies first too and was in awe of the books even though they're very different. :)

And YES to Marissa Meyer and Holly Black too. They never disappoint so I'm pretty much signed up for anything and everything they write. *nods*

    1. Maggie is sooo awesome! I absolutely can't wait to read Scorpio Races by her and also, I'm very curious about what she has in plans for the future. Holly Black is one of the few authors who have never disappointed me so I knew instantly that she'll have a place on this list. :)

    1. Winter promises to be just as awesome (or even more so) as the previous novels in the series. And I of course can't wait for Soundless. Thanks. :D

  4. Totally agree on Marissa Meyer and Rosamund Hodge, Veronika. Their books are awesome! I've only read one book so far by Richelle Mead but it was really great and I'm so looking forward to just diving into her Vampire Academy series soon. I've got The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater that I need to give a go - no matter what I think of it I plan on trying her Raven Cycle series too, because I hear AWESOME things about it. Definitely want to read Libba Bray, too - her Gemma Doyle series sound perfect for me. Great list as usual, Veronika!

    1. There are not many authors I'd buy just about anything by, even though they don't have that many published but Meyer and Hodge are those authors. Their works are just so unique and magical. Definitely try Raven Cycle! I think you'd love those books, Amy! And yes, the Gemma Doyle series does sound like your type of books. Hope you'll enjoy them all. :)
      Thanks. <3

  8. I loved Perkins writing but not the actual stories of the Anna trilogy, for some reason.
Still, she does write pretty good :)

    1. I liked the first story, loved the second, and was bored throughout the third, so I get what you're saying haha. Anyways, there are not many awesome contemporary authors out there so I'll definitely buy anything else she writes. Thanks! :)

  10. Meg Cabot's books make me feel nostalgic. I used to be obsessed with that woman's books at a certain point of my life.
And Richelle Mead! I do have my problems with her, but she gave me my OTP, so I can't help but have a soft spot for her.

    1. I love re-reading Meg Cabot's books because they remind me of how obsessed I was with her books. Hers were the books that made me fall in love with reading.
      Same about Richelle Mead. :)
